From today Investigating Balcombe And Cuadrilla has a new look and a new name. We’ll continue to publish independent, evidence-based journalism but we’ll be widening the focus to the onshore oil and gas business throughout the UK and the campaign against it.
12th August 2014 The latest government survey of public attitudes to fracking has shown a fall in support. The Public Attitudes Tracker, commissioned by Department of Energy and Climate Change and published today, reveals under a quarter of respondents supported shale gas extraction.
11th August 2014 An opinion survey for the UK Onshore Operators’ Group out today found 57% of respondents thought fracking for shale gas should go ahead, while only 16% were opposed. 27% said ‘Don’t know’.
11th August 2014 The Green MP Caroline Lucas has accused the government of hiding information from the public on fracking after a report on the impact of shale gas on the rural economy was heavily redacted.
