Opposition to shale gas has overtaken support for the first time in an ongoing government study of public attitudes. The latest research in the Tracker survey, published today, found 27% of those questioned opposed shale gas, compared with 26% who supported.

11th August 2014 An opinion survey for the UK Onshore Operators’ Group out today found 57% of respondents thought fracking for shale gas should go ahead, while only 16% were opposed. 27% said ‘Don’t know’.
