A community group and a resident have applied to the High Court to challenge decisions by the Local Government Secretary, Sajid Javid, over Cuadrilla’s plans to frack near Blackpool.
Cuadrilla’s plans to frack at Roseacre Wood are neither safe, sustainable nor supported, a parish councillor told politicians yesterday.
Today the Cuadrilla fracking inquiry turned to planning conditions that could be imposed if the proposed sites at Preston New Road and Roseacre Wood were approved.

The inquiry into Cuadrilla’s fracking plans for Lancashire goes into Week 4 this morning (Wednesday 2nd March) with more evidence from Friends of the Earth.
A supporter of Cuadrilla’s plans to frack in Lancashire will be allowed to take an active part in the forthcoming public inquiry into the company’s planning applications.
