The operator of the Wressle oil field in North Lincolnshire reported a 500% increase in oil and gas revenues in its latest interim accounts today.
Egdon Resources said today it was “likely” to appeal against the refusal of planning permission for drilling and production at Biscathorpe in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The operator of the Wressle oil well in North Lincolnshire said initial production exceeded 884 barrels of oil per day (bopd).
Egdon Resources has announced plans for seven new oil and gas wells over the next year. Four of the wells are in Lincolnshire and have planning permission. Another, near Dorking in Surrey, also has approval after the company’s partner, Europa, won a planning appeal.
