In the past few minutes, West Sussex County Council has reversed its decision to postpone a decision on Celtique Energie’s planning application to drill for oil between Wisborough Green and Kirdford.
The application was due to be considered tomorrow (Tuesday) by the planning committee meeting in Horsham. A press statement issued this morning said the application would be postponed because of last minute information supplied by Celtique Energie late on Friday night.
However, that decision was reversed and a few minutes ago the council confirmed the planning committee would consider Celtique Energie’s new information tomorrow. A spokesperson said: “A decision will be at the planning committee meeting on whether to vote on the application or defer it to a future meeting.”
