Elizabeth Truss MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and Dr Paul Leinster, Chief Executive, Environment Agency, give evidence to the House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs select committee on Defra’s responsibility for fracking. 3pm, Room 15, Palace of Westminster.  

Thursday 11th September
South downs National Park planning committee considers Celtique Energie’s planning application to drill at Fernhurst, 10am, South Downs Centre, Midhurst

Thursday 11th September
Fracking Is it Safe? talk by Ian R Crane, 6.45-10.30pm, Luxford Centre, Library Way, Uckfield, .

Wednesday 17th September
Fylde Borough Council Development Management Committee meeting expected to consider Cuadrilla’s two planning applications for Roseacre Wood and Preston New Road, 10am, Lowther Pavilion, Lytham.

Frack Free Liverpool to hand in petition at full meeting of Liverpool City Council urging the authority to reject planning applications for fracking on Merseyside, 4pm Liverpool Town Hall. Details
