The first vote was on New Clause 1, proposed by Labour’s Tom Greatrex, Richard Burden and Roberta Blackman-Woods to amend environmental permitting regulations to include fracking. This clauses was defeated by 224 votes to 320.
The second vote was on New Clause 2, also proposed by Tom Greatrex, Richard Burden and Roberta Blackman-Woods, to devolve licensiing and mineral acces rights for onshore shale gas to the Scottish Government. This clause was defeated by 231 to 324.
The third vote was on New Clauses 9, proposed by a group of backbench MPs to declare a moratorium on onshore unconventional petroleum.. This clauses was defeated by 52 to 308 votes.
