Huge concerns about fracking, the lasting damage to the neighbourhood and wider environment, and short term gains for investors, without responsibility for losses for local people and future generations. The requests by INEOS and Cuadrilla to ‘ring fence health and safety from the planning process’ is blatant disregard for accountability and local democracy. Fracking is a bad thing in every way. Renewable energy is better investment for the long term
