Start date of trial of 12 people charged with obstruction of the highway outside Cuadrilla’s shale gas site at Preston New Road. Stuart Ackroyd, Maria Allen, Daniel Bee, Sarah Boyle, Rebecca Daniels, Joseph Haslam, Gordon Holian, Katrina Lawrie, Rose Monaghan, Tina Rothery, Ellie Stanton and Christopher Wilson were arrested on May 22 2018 after a protest. The trial is due to last three or four days.

Manston airport cargo hub decision by Secretary of State for transport due in May. The opening of this would be a massive detriment to the local community. We have an RSPB protected area close by and this goes against the government’s climate change agenda. Hardly any media coverage?
