The drilling rig at Rathlin Energy’s West Newton B wellsite in East Yorkshire has been taken down.

Flatbed lorries arrived at the site north of Hull to remove the rig and drilling equipment.

A statement last week said drilling a sidetrack to the West Newton B1 well had finished, with signs of a “substantial hydrocarbon accumulation”.
