Angus Energy, the operator of oil and gas sites at Balcombe, Brockham and Saltfleetby, has announced its annual accounts will be delayed.

In a statement to investors, the company said it had planned to publish its audited results for the year ending 30 September 2025 by the end of this month (March 2026).
The results are now expected by 8 April 2026, the company said today.
It said:
“the audit has been delayed due to resourcing constraints and scheduling pressures within the Company’s external audit firm, which have impacted the timing of completion of their review.”
Angus added that the delays were outside its control and were not caused by “underlying financial performance, accounting policies, or internal controls”.
The company said it continued to “engage closely with its auditors to complete the process as soon as practicable”.
Share trading in Angus Energy remains suspended since 19 May 2025 while talks continue on a takeover of producing US assets and rescheduling the company’s debt.
Planning permission at the Balcombe oil site in West Sussex lapsed in February 2026. The company said it planned to submit a new planning application for a well test at the site. So far, no new application has been published
