Cuadrilla has asked Lancashire County Council to delay consideration of its planning applications for two exploratory drilling sites near Blackpool.
The latest amendments to the Infrastructure Bill include a new Government clause which would require ministers to ask for guidance on the climate impacts of onshore oil and gas. A group of Lib Dem MPs has submitted a similar amendment.
Two groups of MPs from five political parties will call for a moratorium on fracking when the Infrastructure Bill is debated on Monday (January 26th).
