East Sussex rejects frack-free call
East Sussex County Council has rejected calls for a ban on fracking in the county. This morning the lead cabinet member for transport and environment, Carl Maynard, turned down a request in a petition calling for the refusal of any attempt at fracking in East Sussex.

Cuadrilla welcomes court decision on costs and injunction
In a statement issued today, Cuadrilla welcomed the extension of an interim injunction preventing trespass on land in the Fylde where the company is seeking permission to frack for shale gas. It also defended its legal action for costs against a single anti-fracking campaigner, Tina Louise Rothery.
