Campaign groups opposed to Third Energy’s plans to frack at Kirby Misperton in North Yorkshire said this afternoon they weren’t surprised by reports that the company was seeking funds from rival operators.
The sound barrier at Third Energy’s would-be fracking site at Kirby Misperton in North Yorkshire came down today. This follows the withdrawal of other equipment over the past month.
Third Energy confirmed tonight it was releasing some equipment from its fracking site at Kirby Misperton in North Yorkshire after the government required a review of the company’s finances.
A North Yorkshire County Council meeting was suspended this morning when opponents of fracking demanded action to address concerns about imminent operations at a site near their homes.
Third Energy should be denied consent to frack in North Yorkshire because it failed to carry out monitoring correctly, Friends of the Earth said this morning.
