Equipment moved off abandoned Lincolnshire well site
Egdon Resources has been moving equipment off its oil exploration site at Laughton in Lincolnshire after deciding to abandon the well.
Egdon plans seven new wells in next year
Egdon Resources has announced plans for seven new oil and gas wells over the next year. Four of the wells are in Lincolnshire and have planning permission. Another, near Dorking in Surrey, also has approval after the company’s partner, Europa, won a planning appeal.

South Downs oil well faces plugging if new owner not found
An oil well drilled in the South Downs National Park in 2010 could be abandoned because the companies behind it have given up their exploration plans for the area. The decision follows a study which found there was little prospect of finding shale oil or gas.
