Third Energy application to frack at Kirby Misperton Councillors in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire agreed last night to delay making a recommendation on Third Energy’s plans to frack for shale gas at Kirby Misperton.
The latest findings from an ongoing government survey show the highest level of opposition to shale gas exploitation so far.

Ryedale District Council in North Yorkshire is being recommending to object to Third Energy’s planning application to frack an existing gas well at Kirby Misperton.

Egdon Resources has announced plans for seven new oil and gas wells over the next year. Four of the wells are in Lincolnshire and have planning permission. Another, near Dorking in Surrey, also has approval after the company’s partner, Europa, won a planning appeal.
