Hull City Council came a step closer to adopting a policy against fracking this morning.
Third Energy application to frack at Kirby Misperton Councillors in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire agreed last night to delay making a recommendation on Third Energy’s plans to frack for shale gas at Kirby Misperton.
The government is proposing to ban fracking from the surface of England’s best natural and landscape areas. Details here
Egdon Resources has announced plans for seven new oil and gas wells over the next year. Four of the wells are in Lincolnshire and have planning permission. Another, near Dorking in Surrey, also has approval after the company’s partner, Europa, won a planning appeal.
