Dates set for trials in Kirby Misperton fracking protest cases
Some of the first trials arising out of anti-fracking protests outside Third Energy’s fracking site in North Yorkshire are to go ahead in the spring.
Court clears anti-fracking campaigners of aggravated trespass after protest at Derbyshire depot
Charges of aggravated trespass have been dismissed against two anti-fracking campaigners at a trial in Chesterfield. Four other campaigners were acquitted of the same charges.
Cuadrilla fracking protest trial – 12 guilty of obstruction but cleared on trades union charges
12 people, including three councillors, have been found guilty of obstructing the highway after a lock-on protest outside Cuadrilla’s shale gas site in July. But they were cleared of trades union charges which can carry a more serious penalty.

Ten Greenpeace volunteers acquitted at anti-fracking protest trial
Ten anti-fracking campaigners who locked themselves together in a protest outside Cuadrilla’s shale gas site have been found not guilty after a trial in Blackpool.

Broadford Bridge protests trial: Three convictions and one acquittal
Three environmental campaigners who blocked the entrance of the Broadford Bridge oil exploration site in West Sussex were found guilty this afternoon under trades union legislation. But one of them who took part in a similar protest a few weeks later was acquitted of the same offence.
