Let’s remember an uncomfortable fact that Ruth chooses to ignore: The estimated population of the United Kingdom is 64,716,000 in 2015.
Add up all these 35 events. And there will be 64,710,00 who did NOT show up. You’re so good at allegedly unbiased reporting Ruth, tell me how many do show up. Especially interested in the London one. 8.6 million people there.
There is no need to be antagonistic Mr Grealy/Mitty, no need at all. These are traumatic days for oil and gas. It’s a bloodbath, jobs and capital are being washed down the drain. Please change the tone. The shale scam won’t work in this green and pleasant land. On the question of numbers take a look at the remnants of two of the three largest political parties.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead
If only 6,000 turn up, it will still be 6,000 more than you get at at pro-fracking demonstration.
Just remind us, as I can’t seem to find any on the internet, when is the next public ( not industry lackeys ) pro-fracking rally in the UK ?
