Deadline for decom of Preston New Road wells. Planning permission for Cuadrilla’s fracking site at Preston New Road near Blackpool requires the removal of all plant, buildings, security, acoustic fencing, pollution control membranes, aggregates and concrete hard standing by this date.

Deadline for West Newton wells. Existing wells at Rathlin Energy’s West Newton sites are due to be plugged and abandoned by this date, according to company accounts. Rathlin has sought an extension from the industry regulator.

Tuesday 31 December 2024

NSTA deadline for Preston New Road. Date by when Cuadrilla should plug and abandon its two horizontal shale gas wells at Preston New Road under an order from the North Sea Transition Authority.
