The DrillOrDrop team wishes all our readers a very happy Christmas.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to our independent journalism in the past 12 months.
This year has been dominated by the landmark legal judgement from the Supreme Court in the case brought by Sarah Finch against Surrey County Council and the operators of the Horse Hill oil site.
This has had a direct impact on Horse Hill and continuing repercussions throughout the industry and beyond.
2024 also saw DrillOrDrop move into its second decade.
We’re very grateful for your donations, contributions, suggestions for research, corrections and criticisms. Much of our work this year would not have been possible without your support and guidance.
Between Christmas and New Year, we will publish our annual review, largely focussing on the implications of the Finch judgement. We’ll also look ahead to key events expected in 2025.
Next year, DrillOrDrop will continue to report independently on the UK onshore oil and gas industry and campaign activity. We’re planning to look closely at the issues of flaring, small-scale fracking and site restoration.
But please keep in touch and let us know about news and events that you think we should be covering.
We always enjoy hearing when you like what we do. But we also want to know when you think we get things wrong. You can contact us directly by clicking here.
