IGas has confirmed its first shale gas well at Springs Road in north Nottinghamshire has reached its total depth of 3,500 metres and encountered all three targets.
The shale gas company, IGas, confirmed this evening that its Tinker Lane well near Blyth in north Nottinghamshire had failed to discover the primary target, the Bowland shale formation.
A decision on plans for a second shale gas exploration site in Nottinghamshire has been delayed again.
IGas has reduced by nearly 1.5km the maximum depth of its proposed shale gas well at Tinker Lane in north Nottinghamshire.
