Egdon Resources, the company behind plans for long-term oil production at Wressle near Scunthorpe, said today North Lincolnshire Council had withdrawn its case against the company.
The public inquiry into plans for long-term oil production at Egdon Resource’s Wressle site near Scunthorpe is to begin on 5 November 2019.
Egdon Resources’ new well at Biscathorpe, near Louth in Lincolnshire, has failed to encounter the oil formation it was targeting, the company said this afternoon.
Egdon Resources has won an appeal over the right to operate its Wressle wellsite for another year.
