Debate in the Northern Ireland Assembly on a motion by Sinn Fein assembly members Oliver McMullan and Gerry Kelly: That this Assembly notes with concern the application by Infrastrata to drill at Woodburn Forest, County Antrim; recognises the concerns of residents in County Antrim over drilling proposals at the forest; and calls on the Executive to ensure that such applications are not approved until assurances are secured against any negative potential impacts on water supply, the environment, tourism and local communities. Details

38 Degrees delivers petition to the UK Government, calling on the Energy and Climate Change Secretary, Amber Rudd, to lay advice before parliament from the Committee on Climate Change about onshore oil and gas development, including fracking. At 6pm on 6 June, the number of signatures stood at more than 110,000.
