Cuadrilla predicts the first high volume hydraulic fracture in the UK since 2011 will happen at its site this month. Discussion continues on the government’s consultation on changes to the planning system for shale gas developments, which also ends in October.

Also coming up in October:  vigils in support of three men sentenced for anti-fracking lorry protest; a meeting and rally on fracking at the Conservative Party conference; High Court hearings on IGas and Angus Energy injunctions; Claire Perry at Energy Live Expo; and the deadline for comments on Rathlin Energy’s plans for East Yorkshire.
