Residents and experts have accused a shale gas company of not giving enough detail about how it would assess the impact of fracking on protected wildlife nearby.
Evidence about 999 ambulance calls, used to support overnight deliveries to Cuadrilla’s fracking site in Lancashire, was unauthorised and not supported by official data from the ambulance service.
The shale gas company, INEOS, has said some products which may be used at a proposed exploration site could cause cancer or birth defects if “permitted to escape”. They could also lead to mutations and were toxic to plants and animals.
A petition will be presented next week calling for a review of an official UK report on the impact of fracking on health.
