PM proposes individual payments to shale gas residents – opponents say it’s a bribe
The Prime Minister has intervened in proposals for a shale wealth fund to include an option to make direct payments to people affected by fracking.

Backing for fracking up slightly but strong support at record low -Government survey
Support for fracking has risen slightly, according to the latest survey in ongoing government research. But the proportion who “strongly support” fracking has dropped to its lowest level.

New drilling and testing plans for “Gatwick Gusher”
The companies behind the Horse Hill oil well in Surrey, nick-named the Gatwick Gusher, announced details today of its plans for two new wells and more testing at the site.

Anti-fracking campaigners felt intimidated by the driving of some lorries delivering to the Horse Hill oil site near Gatwick Airport and were unable to protest peacefully, a court heard today.
