Wales Online reports that anti-fracking campaigners in the Vale of Glamorgan in south Wales have been getting protest advice from Balcombe. They are fighting plans by Coastal Oil and Gas, which has permission to test drill in four sites, including Llantrithyd, near Cowbridge. Last week, villagers from Llantrithyd met the organisers of the campaign against Cuadrilla’s drilling in Balcombe. As a result of the meeting, the Welsh campaigners have set up a residents’ association. Among the campaign tactics they discussed were walking slowly in front of lorries coming to the site to increase the operator’s costs.
