Happy Christmas from DrillOrDrop

The DrillOrDrop team wishes all our readers a very happy Christmas.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to our independent journalism in 2019, through donations, articles, comments and ideas for research. Without you, our work this year would not have been possible.

Between Christmas and New Year we’ll publish a review of the important news of 2019. We’ll also look ahead to key events expected in the next 12 months.

During 2020, we’ll continue to report on fracking, the onshore oil and gas industry and campaign activity in the UK.

Please keep in touch and let us know about news and events that you think we should be covering.

We always enjoy hearing when you like what we do. But we also want to know when you think we get things wrong. You can always comment on DrillOrDrop posts or contact us directly.

  1. Thank you from East Kent Ruth, everyone here follows you and apprediates the work you do. Merry Christmas, EKAF

  2. Dear Ruth, a big thank you to you and your team. I am always amazed how quickly and thoroughly you report on events. The information you impart is critical to our ability to protect our environments from the onshore oil industry. I look forward to working with you in 2020 to finally show Government that the Newdigate Earthquakes are man-made and are the result of activity at Horsehill.

  3. Thank you Ruth and Paul for another year of keeping us all updated. Thanks also to all the Frack Off team for making sure we see the industry for what it really is.
Merry Christmas to all those who have and will continue to pummel the UK shale gas industry.

  4. Merry Christmas Ruth, Paul and all the guest post writers. Thanks for all you have done this year to shine a light into dark places, and hold these awful people to account.

  5. Merry Xmas Ruth, Got my BSc in Environmental Studies, any help I can give just ask!! John

  6. Dear Ruth and Paul, sincere thanks and admiration for the sterling, independent, accurate and timely job you do in keeping us informed of pretty much every development in the O&G industry. It really hit home over Christmas last year how much I would miss DoD if you weren’t there, when I learned of some development (I forget exactly what) and couldn’t find any details for at least a day, until you reported on it. Just imagine, all you readers, how much you wouldn’t know without this excellent facility. I can’t help but wonder if you’re the worst paid people working in the O&G industry for doing one of the most valuable jobs! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Cheers Mike

  7. Merry Yuletide Celebrations DOD, and here’s to a better New Year (can’t be hard under current circumstances, surely!?)

Many thanks and keep up the great work!

  8. A special thanks to Ruth and Paul for your outstanding work this year , as always, taking a neutral stance whilst informing the general public of any new developments within the UK oil and gas industry.

Also , I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to contribute to the forum webpage , although I may not of always agreed with what you’ve said , it has on some occasions , helped me to see things from a different angle.

Whatever your position on UK Fracking …. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year ( not in fracking though , haha )
