I saw Fracked ! in Brighton and recommend it highly. Very funny and the issues are well set out. Judging from the audience’s reaction, a lot of people agreed.
Well I don’t suppose the audience were pro-fracking before the event, do you. By the way, how was the theatre heated? I don’t really agree with the content, maybe I should chain myself to the doors and stop people attending, because I claim moral superiority.
The BBC report that the Conservatives are pinching Milliband’s policy on energy by saying….
“Under the Conservative proposal, industry watchdog Ofgem would set a cap for the default standard variable tariffs, which are often criticised as bad deals for consumers by industry watchdogs”
Basically if the government want to intervene in this way then they’ll probably going to be careful not to get in the way of increasing onshore supply.
Just a note to say that at time of writing, 11.45am Sunday 14th, low carbon energy sources, solar, wind, wood chip, nuclear, and French hydro, are currently (sic) generating nearly 70% of our electricity supply. Coal 0%. Nice windy, sunny day.
