The latest financial figures from Rathlin Energy (UK) Limited were 13 days overdue today.

Companies House said the accounts for the year should have submitted by 30 September 2026 for the year up to 31 December 2025.

Previous Rathlin accounts have been filed by the deadline.

Rathlin Energy operates two sites in Holderness: West Newton-A and West Newton-B.

The company has given notice of plans to start lower-volume fracking at West Newton-A and an extended well test before the end of the year.

Pre-operational conditions for the planning permission, including passing places on the lorry route, have now been met.

But a local campaigner has filed a legal challenge against the Environment Agency (EA) over its approval of a permit for the fracking operations.

He is also seeking an interim injunction to halt the work until the EA case has been decided.

Companies Houses fines firms that are up to one month late or more with their accounts.

Rathlin Energy is a subsidiary of Reabold Resources and classified as a private company. The fine for private companies that are up to one month late is £150, rising to £1,500 for more than six months late.
